The Wonders of Beeswax Candle Making Workshop

Although honey may be the first thing we think of when it comes to honey bees, it’s not the only product created by these incredible tiny creatures, nor the only hive product with a rich and fascinating history. Humans have been making use of beeswax in countless different ways since Ancient Egyptian times, be it for cosmetics, medical remedies, or even for making candles.

Join our beekeepers as they guide you through the artisanal and charming process of making hand-dipped beeswax candles in this hour-long hands-on activity. The beekeeper will reveal different aspects of beeswax, from how it’s made in the hive to the fascinating ways humans have used the material throughout the ages. Participants walk away from this workshop with a new skill, a unique shared experience with their peers, and their own pair of hand-made 100% beeswax candles.
