Staten Island Playhouse

Since 1975 the mission of Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre is to bring high quality Shakespearean, classical, and original theatre to residents of Staten Island, as well as provide artistic opportunities for the actors, directors and designers who have chosen to make this community their home.  Spotlight Theatre Staten Island is the borough’s premier not-for-profit professional theatre company, providing year-round plays and musicals that inspire, challenge, surprise, and delight audiences of all ages.  As both theatre companies are dedicated to cultural enrichment and education, they have joined forces at Empire Outlets to create “Staten Island Playhouse”, a diverse performing arts studio to enrich the lives of local actors, artists, and audiences.
